Iowa 1:1 Institute has ended
The Iowa 1:1 Institute exists to:
  • Help the Midwest’s 1:1 districts learn from each other about innovative teaching, learning, and administrative practices that are occurring in their districts;
  • Build excitement and ‘buzz’ around 1:1 laptop computing initiatives in the Midwest; and
  • Help others who are interested in 1:1 computing learn more about how to get started and be successful.
The institute is open to anyone interested in 1:1 laptop computing initiatives in P-12 schools, whether they currently are working in such a program or just want to learn more.

Jamie Fath is the technology integration coordinator for Southeast Polk CSD and works with teachers to integrate technology to enhance learning in their classroom. She has worked with teachers, administrators and students to use technology for learning for the past 8 years. Besides her daily work, Jamie serves on the board for the Iowa Technology Education Connection which runs multiple conferences and workshops throughout the year; helps to organize the Iowa 1:1 conference, a grassroots conference that is teacher, student and administrator driven; is the organizer of EdCampDSM; is a Google Education Trainer; and the attendee of as many EdCamps as she can make it to. Jamie's daily goal is to be the type of learner we want kids to be.
